- Unlike the narrative style of NCERTs, TN books use a point-wise, chronological layout, making factual data easier to memorise for the Prelims.
- They are particularly essential for their superior coverage of South Indian dynasties (Cholas, Pandyas, Pallavas), which are now frequent UPSC topics.
- While NCERTs remain better for conceptual depth in the Mains, TN books are ideal for factual clarity and quick revision.
