2. What Is New in 2026

• OTR is mandatory: Candidates must obtain a One Time Registration number on otr.pariksha.nic.in at least 72 hours before applying.
• CM Fellowship benefits: Research scholars of the Chief Minister Fellowship Programme get age relaxation of up to 3 years and Mains weightage of up to 7.5 marks under the 2026 rules.
• Unfair means law: The UP Public Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024 applies.
• Pending appeal: The rule adjusting reserved candidates against unreserved seats is subject to a stay order of the Allahabad High Court (Lucknow Bench) dated 13 May 2026.

Posts in the advertisement include Deputy Collector, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Block Development Officer, Assistant Regional Transport Officer, Assistant Commissioner (Commercial Tax), District Commandant Home Guards, Treasury Officer / Accounts Officer, Superintendent Jail, Executive Officer Grade-I, District Basic Education Officer, Assistant Labour Commissioner, Commercial Tax Officer, District Minority Welfare Officer, District Food Marketing Officer, Area Rationing Officer, Naib Tehsildar, District Panchayat Raj Officer, District Social Welfare Officer, District Supply Officer Grade-2, Assistant Registrar (Cooperative), Sub Registrar, District Probation Officer, Excise Inspector, Child Development Project Officer, Food Safety Officer, Deputy Jailor and Principal, Government Intermediate College, among others.

Only posts whose requisitions have been received are included now. Graduate-level posts received before the Prelims result may be added.

4. Reservation Rules

• Vertical reservation for SC, ST, OBC and EWS of UP as per government rules.
• Horizontal reservation for Dependents of Freedom Fighters, women, Ex-Servicemen, PwD and outstanding sports persons of UP.
• PwD reservation applies only to posts identified for that sub-category.
• Candidates claiming more than one category get only the most beneficial concession.
• Category, sub-category, domicile, EWS and creamy layer status as claimed by the last date of modification are final.

5. Minimum Efficiency Standard

SC and ST candidates must score at least 35%, and all other candidates at least 40%, in the Prelims and Mains to be placed in the merit or select list.

6. Penalties

Furnishing wrong information can lead to debarment for up to five years. Submitting forged documents leads to permanent debarment from all UPPSC selections and action under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
