UPPCS Salary 2026: Pay Scale & Benefits
UPPCS posts range from 6th CPC Grade Pay ₹4,200 to ₹5,400. Under the UP 7th pay matrix, Deputy Collector, DSP and other Grade Pay ₹5,400 posts sit at Pay Level 10 with a starting basic of ₹56,100. Grade Pay ₹4,600 posts are at Level 7 (₹44,900) and Naib Tehsildar at Level 6 (₹35,400). Dearness Allowance, HRA and other allowances are added as per UP Government rules.

2. Allowances and Benefits
- Dearness Allowance at the rate notified by the UP Government
- House Rent Allowance by city class, or government accommodation
- Travel allowance and official vehicle for field posts such as SDM and DSP
- Medical facilities under UP Government rules
- Leave, leave travel concession and pension benefits under applicable rules
3. Approximate In-hand Salary
A newly appointed Deputy Collector or DSP can expect roughly ₹85,000 to ₹1,00,000 a month in hand, depending on DA, HRA and deductions. These are estimates; actual pay follows current UP Government orders.
4. Pay Growth
Pay rises with annual increments, DA revisions and promotions. Deputy Collectors move to senior scales and can be promoted to the IAS through the state civil service quota.
